CRYLOCON
ACRYLIC BONDING / WATERPROOFING AGENT

INTRODUCTION:

CRYLOCON consists of specially blended acrylic polymers to impart high bonding strength as well as waterproofing characteristics when modified with Portland cement.

APPLICATIONS:

Bonding of old to new concrete
Waterproofing of concrete terraces, basements, toilets, swimming pools, water tanks etc.
Repair of concrete especially floors, walls and slabs
As an additive to impart bond and flexural strength

COMPONENTS:

CRYLOCON is a white liquid, which dries to a clear film. It is compatible with most cements, commercially available.

YIELD*

As bond coat:

1 Kg Crylocon, 1Kg water and 1.5Kg cement shall cover 5-10 sq.m(one coat)
2. As waterproofing coating: 1 Kg Crylocon, 1Kg water and 5Kg cement shall cover 2.5 - 3 sq.m(two coats).
3. As repair mortar: 1 Kg Crylocon, 1Kg water, 5Kg cement and 12.5 Kg sand shall cover 0.02 cu.m(10-11sq.m at 15mm).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Surface Preparation -
The concrete must be clean and rough. All oil, dirt, debris, paint and unsound concrete must be removed. the surface must be prepared mechanically All concrete must possess an open surface texture with all curing compounds and sealers removed. All areas should be pre-wetted to reduce moisture loss. Do not place product on standing water.

Bonding : Prepare the slurry as per proportion given above and apply it directly, using a stiff brush. New concrete must be placed over the bond-coat before it dries out.

Application of waterproofing - Coating has to be commenced when primer coat is tacky. When mixed as per recommended quantities, the material will have a brushable consistency. Brush with long and easy strokes. Two brush coats will be required to achieve a spread rate of 2.5 kg/m2. An interval of 24 hrs. is recommended between each coat.

Spreading a glass cloth of 20-30 gsm between 2 coats is highly recommended to ensure excellent water proofing and resistance to cracking.

CURING
CRYLOCON is to be cured after leaving the surface dry for 24 hrs after the second coat.
Keep the surface damp for at least three days.

PACKING AND SHELF LIFE
CRYLOCON is packaged in 5 ltr or 200 ltr containers. CRYLOCON has a shelf life of 12 months.
